Elena Kyprianou was born and raised in Nicosia.

Her talent in dancing was recognized from a very young age. At the age of 5, she started Rhythmic Gymnastics, and was soon selected to join Gymnastics tournaments. She was a member of the National Team with whom she excelled in sport events and tournaments in Cyprus and abroad. She became a Junior Champion and the biggest success was the Gold Medal at the World Gymnasiade School Games.

She was rightfully ranked among the best athletes of the 20th century.

At the same time she attended ballet and contemporary dance courses. She participated in dance performances with prominent dancers from Europe and America, the PYGMALION musical and BEST OF BROADWAYS, by Stavros Sideras, with excellent reviews.
In 2000 she moved to New York for studies at ALVIN AILEY and JOFFREY BALLET SCHOOL. She has danced with dance groups from America and participated in a show in Cyprus with Haris Mavromichalis’ group, DANCE ANONYMOUS.

 


After finishing her studies, she moved to London where she continued dancing classes and participated in Jamie Oliver's advertisements. She also participated in the SERGEI PROKOPIEV project PETER AND THE WOLF, with the London Symphony Orchestra, in an international production with excellent reviews at HAKNEY EMPIRE THEATER, in choreography of the award-winning choreographer DOUG ELKINS.


In London she obtained a Pilates teaching diploma from the Pilates Institute and Stott Pilates. In 2008 she returned to Cyprus and founded the dance group, EN CHORO. She has participated in several performances, as well as in the Dance Platform. In 2009 she founded the Dance and Pilates Studio THE POINT PILATES AND DANCE CENTER.
